Depot is rededicated after major work to restore it.
August 10th, 2005
President Bush signs the Transportation Bill.
July 29th, 2005 - a
revised version of the Transportation Bill passes both the Senate and the House
of Representatives, providing $2.5 million for the depot.
February 3rd, 2005 -
The depot committee starts a $700,000 fund raising drive.
April 2nd, 2004 -
Highway bill with funds to help restore the depot passes the House of
Representatives.

12th, 2003 - The depot made it onto the list of the 10 most endangered
historical sites in Illinois.
July, 2002 -
Work on the roof is completed.
March 1st, 2002 -
Depot listed on National Register of Historic Places.
July 10th, 2001 -
Grant received from the Great American Station Foundation.
June 21st, 2001 -
First meeting of the Project Depot committee.
April 17th, 2001 the
City took a final vote to proceed with purchase of the depot.
